As proud partners of A Step FWD, we’d like to share a glimpse of the rewarding time we had at the 4th Annual Awards Ceremony on 23rd November—and take this opportunity to highlight how Beckview Studios in Scarborough could help bring your next project to life.
The StepFWD Awards, held at the historic Fairfield Halls in Croydon, are steadily gaining momentum as the UK’s definitive celebration of Christian and Gospel music. Hosted by renowned Christian artists Noel Robinson and Philippa Hanna—both recently celebrated for their contributions to Songs From The Soil—the event featured twelve categories voted through the UK Christian Chart. From Song of the Year to Male and Female Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Music Video of the Year, the awards highlighted the breadth of talent within the UK Christian music scene. We were honored to present the Electronic | Dance Song of the Year award. Although our category winners, Rave Jesus and Martin Smith, couldn’t join us on stage that evening, their track “Joy” (featuring Faye Simpson and Pat Knight-Scott) resonated powerfully. Beyond that category, it was wonderful to see Annatoria recognised as Best Female Artist and Limoblaze as Best Male Artist—further proof of the remarkable talent thriving under A Step FWD’s watchful encouragement and careful spotlighting of UK Christian music.
It wasn’t just about the awards. We also met fascinating individuals in the industry, including representatives from Integrity Music UK and the director of Spring Harvest—connections that underscored the warmth, breadth, and depth of this creative community. The ceremony also supported charities like Compassion UK and Mercy Ships, reminding everyone that music and community often walk hand in hand.
Being there in London reminded us how well-connected we all are. Traveling from the capital to Scarborough is simpler than many expect. In less than two hours by train, you can reach York from London, and from there, a scenic rail journey carries you straight to the coast. If rail travel isn’t your first choice, you’ll also find straightforward routes by car, including the M1 and A64. It’s a journey that showcases rolling countryside and hints at the wide-open skies and soothing sounds waiting for you in Scarborough. Once you arrive at Beckview Studios, you’ll find everything ready—no need to haul your own gear, as our fully equipped residential facility ensures that traveling light is both possible and practical.
